To answer my own question, I just found it tonight, freshly arrived.

Yes, several articles on Smalltalk, including a comparison of the 5
main Smalltalks (VisualWorks, Smalltalk/V, ENFIN 4.0, IBM Smalltalk,
and Smalltalk/Agents). The conclusions were the usual "on the one
hand, on the other hand" sort, though I've so far only skimmed the
article.

Other articles on Smalltalk in the issue as well.
