I have a background in AI, but am quite new to OO design. I think that
rule-based reasoning can be integrated into objects and objects can
also be embedded into rules, and would like to conduct some research
along these lines.

Does anyone out there have any good references to suggest in this
regard? In particular, I am very interested in reading about large
engineering examples where such an integration is essential.
