This is the first time I have seen any group that XDOD and Docutech
operators and administrators can use to compare notes. We are the only
people who truly know (at least in this neck of the woods - Ontario) what
our equipment will or won't do. Even Xerox support is shaky sometimes.
If anyone finds a better site to share this information...will they please
let Richard De Visser and I know?

We are both at the University of Waterloo, Graphic Services department. We
are encouraging all our operators and related administrators to read this
newsgroup to learn more about what we are all trying to accomplish on XDOD
and Docutechs. We have had both equipment for a number of years, but have
recently moved it's location. Richard is responsible for producing our
Courseware for the University of Waterloo and has experience using the
Docutech 6135 with a SUN SPARC 20 on a UNIX network. This printer (it
doesn't have the 135's copier interface) is connected to our XDOD
station. We can also network with a Docutech 135 across campus.

I am visiting MacMaster University tomorrow, and will share this newsgroup
address with them, so they can interact too. MacMaster University are the
Pro's in Southern Ontario for XDOD and Docutech use, having used this
system effectively for years to produce large quantities of course note
packs. MacMaster have also purchased Docuweb for those of you interested
in finding out more about scanning documents for the WEB.
