Hello,

I'm trying to build a little IR detection circuit and am having some
problems. I've never dealt with IR before, so that may be where the
problem lies. :)

Either way...I have a couple IR LED's from Digikey
 # LN66-ND Pulse forward current=1A Output=4.6mW PeakWavelen=950nm
	Beam Angle=17 degrees

and some NPN phototransistors from Digikey
 # PN116PA-ND	Vceo=20	Ic=10mA	Peak Wavelength=900nm tr/tf=8us

So are these able to work together or should I buy some other
components? and how can I hook them up to work. I will be using them for
a robot, so it will be close range detection.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
