The MIT 6.270 board is a robot board which consists of 5 seperate
boards, the microprocessor board, the expansion board, battery charge board,
motor switch board, and infrared beacon board. It has 32 K of memory
standard with the option to up the memory and hardware to support memory
paging. Memory expansion is one of the things the expansion board is good
for. A space is available to mount an LCD display.

All in all the thing that attracted me to this board was the 32K.
Up until now all the robot boards I have been looking at where the credit
card sized boards and derivations there of. The memory available on these
smaller boards was inadequate for my needs.

None of the components on the board are all that hard to acquire. It
uses the MC68HC11A0 chip instead of the F1 or more difficult to find
Motorola chips.

Right now I am looking into providing full kits. The price for may
be about $200. Lower if only some of the components are needed or wanted.
I'm currently trying to acquire current prices for many of the components so
the kits price is not yet set in stone.

In the /pub/6270 directory there is a wealth of information.
