Has anyone found a good source for board-mounted lenses? I am
referring to the type found on most board-mounted ccd mini-cameras.
It is quite easy to find the CCD chips alone in various resolutions
and dimensions, but even companies like Texas Instruments seem to
be at a loss to recommend lenses to use with their optical chips.

I have found one distributor in the States called Ten-Four Ltd
who acknowledges they used to be able to get the Sanyo LC9943-LE08
board mounted lens, but cannot supply them now except with the
purchase of the full sanyo camera itself.

It is also easy to find optics, i.e. from Melles Girot, but it
would be good to find an off-the-shelf solution to the problem of
using custom CCDs without having to custom build lens housings.
Any tips from people out there would be quite helpful. Thanks
in advance.
