			THE EIGHTH YALE WORKSHOP ON
	               ADAPTIVE AND LEARNING SYSTEMS

			    June 13-15, 1994
			    Yale University
			New Haven, Connecticut

			      ANNOUNCEMENT

Objective: The primary objective of the Workshop is to bring together
scientists and engineers in a collegial environment to discuss critical
issues in the study of intelligent systems operating in complex environments.
Different perspectives on this topic offered by learning theory, adaptive
control, artificial neural networks, and biological systems are beginning
to be linked in novel ways. The aim of the Workshop is to exploit the
synergism between the different viewpoints and provide for constructive
  collaboration.

Program: The principal sessions will be devoted to adaptive systems, learning
systems, robotics, neural networks, and biological systems. A tentative list
  of speakers includes:

      Adaptation: A. Alleyne, A.M. Annaswamy, J.J. Gelfand, M.J. Grimble,
      C.C. Hang, H. Kaufman, G. Leitman, M. Lemmon, K.S. Narendra, M.M'Saad,
      H. Unbehauen, L.L. Whitcomb.
