When I was at the BEAM robot games in April 1993 in Toronto, I saw
a robot safe-cracker demonstrated by a young man (15?!) who built
it for a science fair project. It was pretty neat. Maybe someone
remembers his name?

I think I also saw something similar to this in the last few weeks,
on the television show NextStep, which is seen on the Discovery
channel. You can contact them at: <74106.1001@compuserve.com>. But,
be forewarned, I've sent them several e-mails and have never had
a reply... they must be pretty busy.

Good Luck!
