As Tony mentioned, his mounting doesn't necessarily lead to the side effects I
mentioned.  I was simply presenting a worst case analysis.  However, I do want
to stress that this largely depends on the method of feedback used in the 
device.  For several methods of feedback we found this kind of error 
significant.  By adding more time lag it is possible to get away with the
incuracy.
