I am interested in finding some information on Pluto -
The CMU rover.

I have just read Chapter 2 of P.J. McKerrow's book
"Introduction to Robotics".

When referring to Pluto McKerrow says the following:

".... The kinematics of this machine have proved to be
so complex that two eight-bit microprocessors cannot
control one wheel in real time. ..."

Can anyone at the Mobile Robotics Mecca (CMU) elaborate
on this and given me some good references.

I would be most grateful.

I've got Moravec's 1983
"Stanford Cart and the CMU Rover" paper.

Many thanks

tom
