Well hello out there in South Africa.

To get into robotics (My opinion)

1. What should I study in school?
	A. Take all of the machine shop/electronics/wood shop etc courses
that your school offers
	B. Learn to type
	C. Learn to program in Assembler and C/C++ Microsoft or Borland
	D. Read all of the books that your school has about robotics
	E. Get a library card at your local University and see if there
is such a thing as library loans to USA Universities. If so, log onto the
net and get into Melvyl and request books that USA has and get them sent
to your library.
	F. Read those books
	G. Read about gears

I'm running out of letters. So here is a rambling mess of information.

Take all of the math courses you can, take chemistry, biology, physics,
and all other science clases offered. Build a small Z80 based computer or
8088 based computer from scratch and learn how it works. Design a
compiler from scratch. Purchase some of the small robot projects they
have for under $50.00 and build them. There are a number of companies and
Universities that sell kits for robots.

Then...

Get straight A's in all of your classes. Apply to CMU in Pittsburg PA USA
after you have finished a 4 year degree in any University (Good
University if Possible) Receive your PHD from CMU.

Go to work for a large company or small company and build robots. Live
happly ever after.

Mike
