AAAI 1994 Robot Exhibition and Demonstration
                --------------------------------------------

Many researchers in the field of AI are beginning to implement
their ideas on real hardware platforms. Some researchers are interested
in grounding their systems in the real world, some are trying to implement
intelligent behavior from the bottom up, and others are interested in various
aspects of artificial life. This year, in conjunction with the 3rd annual
robot competition, AAAI-94 will offer a chance for these researchers
to demonstrate their ideas and their hardware at the National Conference
for Artificial Intelligence (August 2-5, 1994, Seattle WA).

The AAAI-94 Robot Exhibition invites all interested researchers to
demonstrate their ideas. The exhibition is designed to complement the
AAAI-94 Robot Competition and give researchers the opportunity to demonstrate
capabilities that might not be required to participate in the competition.
Demonstrations may involve mobile robots (including multiple, cooperating
robots), manipulation, or both. Robots may be entered in both the
competition and exhibition.

This is a chance to show other researchers what your robot can do. Don't
be bashful, enter today.

Requirements for Submission
---------------------------

To enter your robot in the AAAI-94 Robot Exhibition, send a 2-3 page writeup
clearly describing the hardware involved, what the robot(s) will do, and the
AI concepts being demonstrated. This writeup must arrive to the address
given below no later than April 5, 1994.

Review Criteria
---------------

The criteria for acceptance will include the quality of the demonstration
and the novelty of the AI involved. Reviewers will work with entrants to
help refine their demonstrations should acceptance be in doubt. Sending
writeups early (before the April 5 deadline) is encouraged so that there
will be plenty of time for discussion and clarification, if required.

Please send entry writeups (preferably via email) to:
