I couldnt find a source for these sensors either. Though I didnt try RS. I did
find an IR demodulator IC that will give you the demodulated data from the IR signal.
It does require a few components; about 8 capacitors and a 4.7 mH inductor but the
circuit is very simple. The part code is TDA3047-N4. The additional parts that will be
required are:
Resistors:
12K, 22R
Capacitors:
0.047uF, 4 x 0.022uF, 0.0047uF, 0.0068uF (all Poly Layer types), 100uF Elect
Inductors:
4.7mH choke
Diodes:
357PD photodiode
ICs:
TDA3047

I have a cct for it, but dont trust my ascii art to replicate it. If anyone wants it
I will have a go at drawing it out in ascii. The tech info sheets for the TDA3047 will
probably have the circuit on it anyway.
