Hi I am Alex...i am in the same boat!!  i am fixing a "dead" hero 1 (ET-18).
heath kit is still produsing and technolgy suporting there old KITS( just not
making or selling any more) so.. i called to ask about the tech repair
mainual.... after 15 minuate of wating... they found the manual..$50.. and slow
boat to me... that NOT axceptable!!!!  so any help you can give me or any one
else can give me help PLEASE !!!! I NEED IT...  
Problems list:
1) 3 day to charge
2) voltades (even with full charge) are way- off
3) wont power up off charger
4) if not on constant charge battries drain( even with charger unpluged from
robot)
5) puled wire from top(head) comming from connecter "P5" its solid orange(ribin
style connected to a yellow) to the frount left side near where the "arm" moter
is. i have looked and cant find where it came from.     PLEASE HELP!!!
if you know about this robot or Have the manual that tells where this wire goes
to and came photocopy the page and mail it to me......i would REALY be
greatfull!!!
