I hope that you will post your thoughts on this. I agree that it is a 
fascinating parallel, and merits investigation and discussion.

I have a personal interest in this, because I first became entranced by
Esperanto while living/working in Israel back in 1990. I was intrigued by
the level of success which Hebrew obviously displayed, and began looking
closely at the works of ben Yehuda and Herzl (I was living in *Herzliya*)
for clues about nation-building and the impact of language.
