   I'm sorry I snapped a little on my earlier post, but if you had gotten 
as much private e-mail telling you the north had won the war so therefore 
southerners have no right to an opinion as I have gotten you'd be a 
little touchy too. I find the whole idea that someone bases their opinion 
about how southerners talk on a waitress in a restaurant a little hard to 
swallow, as if a trip through the south can actually give one a sense of 
southern customs and speech habits.
  Actually I'm not so much defending plural y'alls as much as I'm mad 
that any time a southerner said anything on this thread they got yapped 
at, and called irritating or a yokel.
  Plus I've been on percodan for two week for an infected tooth and a 
swollen face, but I'll not get into that. Lets just say everybody could 
have used a bit more tact. We are talking about a proud culture here, and 
if you can't be at the least a bit respectful then why bother at all.
