I have no English name for them, but in Arabic they're called (in
ArabTeX notation) <muta.damminu lu.gatayni> `joining two languages'.

Here's an example, a bayt by Emir Khosrow of Dihli^, from Friedrich
Ru"ckert's _Grammatik, Poetik und Rhetorik der Perser_.

  <bahAyi _hAnaH dArI bAbahA kun \\
   hawA dArI  wa-bAdAnI rahA kun>

Persian:
  `Value the value of housekeeping!
   Keep love and dismiss <bAdAnI>!'

  (I couldn't find <bAdAnI> in any dictionary;
   FR translates it as `Unverstand', I'm not sure why.)

Arabic:
  `My <bahA> was deceived by my house, be (thou) at its door!
   He descended upon (?) my house and cried (?) to me: "Be <rahA>!"'

A very old Bulgarian one is _Kon treva pase, muxa go xapeshe_
`(a)_horse grass is_grazing, (a)_fly him was_biting', which is
sold for French with its pronunciation altered from the usual
[kOn tre'va pa'sE, mu'xa go 'xapeSe] to [kO~'tRe va pa'se,
mwA gwA pE'Se].
