You might also look at Autolexical Grammar (Jerrold Sadock, UChicago  
Press, and several articles, mostly in Chicago Linguistic Society  
Proceedings). While I would not say the lexicaon and syntax are the  
"same", the lexicon holds the information about each word in each area of
