MaxWid
gets and prints the maximum word number. You could also do
	cat $LQTEXTDIR/WIDFile
for that matter, since it's stored in ASCII!

NumberTest number [...]
creates /tmp/boy and writes the numbers you give it using the
compressed number package. Then it reads them back and checks that
	they are the same.
TryHash
simply for playing with different hash functions.

TryNum
For testing fWriteNumber and sReadNumber. You need a shell that
	passes 8-bit arguments, though.
Use put to put numbers in a file, and TryNum filename to see them.

TryRoot

charfreq

dbmtry
stores lots of text in a database, and then retrieves it again an
item at a time & makes sure it's OK. Give it an argumnt for the
number of items to try -- 5000 is a good sort of number.

differ.awk
malloctrace
put
size
run this on SunOS in the database directory if you want.

trywid
tests getting the next WID. Give it an argument of at least 200 to
ensure that the WID cache gets flushed.
