		Summarizing Support System

1.Outline

  This system was made to prove the techique to summarize text in
Japanese , and includes following three programs.

  To summarize some text, user operates as follows.

  (a) Make files of interlingua(=semantic representation of this system)
  (b) Extract unknown words and unregistered world knowledge.
  (c) Register unknown words and unregistered world knowledge.
      (words will be registered as a part of ESP program, and world
      knowlege will be registered by World Knowledge Management Program.
  (d) Execute text analisys, importance evaluation by Summarizing
      Program and edit by Man-machine Interface.

SOFTWARES ARE NOT SO ROBUST.

(1) Summarizing Program
  Input is the interlingua from Japanese and execute text analysis and
importance evaluation. In addition, the program can extract unknown
words and unregistered world knowledge.

(2) Man-machine Interface
  Display the original text and the abstract. User can modify the abstract.

(3) World Knowledge Management Program
  This program make and maintain world knowledge which is used for
summarizing.

2. Environment
  We proved this system go in PSI(SIMPOS 3.0,3.2,4.0,5.0).

  For Summarizing Editor, catalogue *.edt and *.sum.
