Where, When and Who

Born in Ghana, West Africa, in the groovy late 1960s at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. Primary education at the University Primary School, Legon during the funky 70's. Started secondary school life in PRESEC, Legon, but moved to Ghana International School. Finished Sixth-form at Achimota School during the late eighties.

Pre-University National Service at Ghana International School (late 80's). Taught remedial mathematics and chemistry, and was a lab demonstrator for class 7.

Undergraduate years (late 80s - early 90s) spent at the University of Ghana, Legon. Studied Mathematics and Computer Science. Participated in student politics - served as Vice President of the SRC of my hall of residence (Legon Hall).

Back at Ghana International School for Graduate National Service. Taught Computing Studies to Form 3 (9th grade?) and Computing to Lower sixth (12th grade). Patron of the YearBook Club.

Continued teaching in GIS as a full time teacher for three more years (mid 90s). At one point, i taught from Form 3 to Upper sixth!

Now, studying for my Master's Degree in the INI at CMU.

Youngest son of my parents - Dr. Harold H. Phillips - a retired profoessor of physiology and currently a private medical practitioner, and Mrs. Gladys A. Phillips. Two older brothers - Andrew, a Jeweler in working in Ghana, and Martin, a doctor working in Liverpool.
