- Make sure the metric is not a disaster... :-)
  I'd opt for the original approach (using throughput and memory utilization
  and have two separate metrics for performance).
- Provide more info about pointer arithmetic (in handout)... Maybe
  pre-define some macros or struct templates for the students to use.
- Facilitate debugging.  Yih-Chun's commandline interface for L5 is really
  cool; maybe we can provide a debugging environment, integrated with
  the vizualiser.  Tools to debug large traces (like faster watchpoints
  that rely on the virtual memory mechanism etc) would be esp. helpful.
  Also allow the students to provide feedback to the vizualiser (about
  type of regions etc)??
- Change the assignment?  Eg. make them implement a distributed heap
  manager? }:->
