House O2 leak traced to MFC on tylan6. Suspect that filiment is
burnt out or the valve is not functioning. I will have to remove
the MFC to repair and calibrate.

tylan6 is down.

Tylan6 O2 MFC was checked and found to be functioning ok. I recalibrated
and installed.

Temperature control was not as good as it normally is.
The oxidation temperature was supposed to be 900C, and normally
the tube will stabilize within 15 minutes after ramp-up.
In this case, however, the load-zone temperature did not
come down below 904-905 after overshoot. After waiting an
hour or so, I just acknowledged past the stabilization step.
The load-zone temperature never did get down to 900 and, furthermore,
the source-zone temperature dropped to 891 and never got back
up to 900. A tca clean had been done overnight, along with a
temperature calibration (MAIN5-6B).

Tom Booth looked over tylan6 and found the KM value higher than expected.
When he tried the system out parameters readjusted to proper values and
Tom believes the furnace is up without any problems. He cannot explain
this errant higher than normmal values.
tylan6 is up for use.

The source zone did not stabilize at the correct temperature
(~946C at a setpoint of 950C)

>>> 'tylan6' problem from bob -- Fri Oct 20 08:07:15 1989 <<<

tylan6 is running 4 degrees below the set point on the source zone.
This should have little effect on processes run and will be investigated
on Monday by Evan Stateler.
tylan6 is up for use.

The tube is stabilizing correctly during the temp stabilization step.
It is when the O2 starts flowing that a 10 deg drop occurs with a recovery
to 4-5 deg below expected. Attemps to alter firing circuit rates have only
resulted in corrections for the run in progress. The next run repeats the
problem because the temp stabilization has factored out the changes made.
A test will be run with N2 flowing at a higher level during temp stab. to see
if this method will correct the condition.
tylan6 is still up for use. this error in the source should not effect your
runs.

One of red o-ring is broken. I am not sure when it was broken.

>>> 'tylan6' problem from bob -- Thu Feb  8 11:48:59 1990 <<<

A new 2-339 o-ring was installed. The SS plate on the front of this
tube may be reversed as the o-ring groove is not the captive style
groove that should face the tube. The tube is ready and up and the
groove will be examined during more tranquil times.
