Here are the first-hand news from the Youngstown Peace Race, October 8, 95.

Perfect weather - calm winds, temperature around upper fifties - unleashed
runners' fetters at one of the fastest US 10K courses. After the first mile 
covered in 4:30 the leading pack consisted of about 20 runners. After the 
second mile of approximately the same pace the leading pack was drastically 
reduced just to 6. Next 2 miles left only 3.
