Tips for the Tall

  • Commercial Airplanes: fly first class if possible, else ask for a seat in an exit row or in front of bulkhead.
  • Buses and Trains: choose an aisle seat.
  • Cars: generally favored are the Chevy Suburban, Lexus LS 400, Ford Taurus, Dodge Intrepid, Ford Windstar minivan, and Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. In general German cars offer the most legroom.
  • Clothes: Check yellow pages or call Tall Clubs International for a comprehensive list of catalogs.
  • The Home: for home improvement suggestions contact the National Institute of Tall People
  • Hotels/motels: ask for a room with a king size bed.
