Lecture 10 slides

These slides are taken from Prof. Elizabeth Thompson's guest lecture on linkage analysis (1 February 96).

The remaining slides show pedigrees in order of increasing complexity.

This is a simple loop-free pedigree.

This is the Tristan da Cunhan pedigree which has loops but is still solvable with a good peeling sequence. The peeling sequence components marked off by dashed lines.

This is pedigree study of inherited disease in a Newfoundland population. Monte-Carlo techniques were necessary to analyse linkages.
