Utah/Denver would cost me 291 (with way more flying for my dollar than I really wanted) and Stockholm costs 691. So if I could pay 1/2 for Stockholm, I would rather go there. I'm worried about being gone while in the academic year of 2002/2003 because I have already used up my vacation time. However with 2 grants going in July 23/29 and IDSOG starting Aug 6, it is unlikely that I will be able to come out to robot camp until the very end. So if anyone was to be so impertinent to ask, but of course they will, I will say that I'm doing my July time off early so I can write grants in July. Mj Marijane A. I cooked one ear, then another. Two more the fridge, if you get here soon enough. :) The Sweden info is below. Looks like I should leave Monday evening, June 2, to arrive in Stockholm on Tue for meetings and workshop in Orebro Wed/Thu/Fri, then return to Stockholm for Sat night stay, and return Sun. I'll check on specific flights ASAP. Hopefully, you will find a reasonable cheap economy flight and I think your proposal to stay a day more in Stockholm to get the lower fare is nice. If you let our secretary, Barbro Alvin, (email above) know about your finally travel plans (when you arrive/departure Stockholm Arlanda airport), she will recommend the best train connection from airport to rebro Central. I know that some connections by train leaves directly from Arlanda airport (time 1.5 - 2 hours). Since rebro is a medium size city (approx 100.000 people) there is a walking distance to bus station, or hotels. Barbro will also book the hotel in rebro and Stockholm for you. You will, beside beeing an invited presenting person to ROSE, also be an AASS "guest mentor" participate in the discussion during the Wedn - Thurs - Fri - 4 - 6 June (including ROSE). This time will be resting for you with nice people, summer weather and Swedish food. Welcome, ( We can also discusse this matter in Provo and Vail) Peter ######################################################## At 01:53 2003-04-21 -0400, you wrote: >Hi Peter -- > >I just made my travel plans for Provo & Vail and now realize it is not to >early to start planning my trip to Orebro in June. > >Is it correct to assume that although on my map Orebro looks a little closer >to Oslo than to Stockholm it will nevertheless be easier to fly into >Stockholm? > >It seems most trains from Stockholm Central to Orebro Central take about 2 >hours, and a regional bus from Orebro Central to the university station >takes another 20-30 minutes.
