Physics/Astronomy, University of Washington, 1992 B.A. Music, University of Washington, 1992 M.Libr. Library & Information Science, University of Washington, 1996 Robotics Experience: I worked on development of a prototype pointing system for autonomous telescope alignment. Currently, I'm investigating path planning and efficient search patterns for a team of robots. Other Experience: I have done image processing and photometry of visual and infrared astronomical images, including studies of asteroidal and potential cometary bodies and of star-forming regions. Other research includes the study of gravitational lensing and of various telescope mirror designs. Fields of Interest: My research interests are in multiple mobile robot coordination and path planning efficiency, particularly in unstructured, unknown environments, as well as the use of heterogeneous robot teams. Other interests include space exploration, astronomy, piano, writing and hiking.
