Modeling People Movers via a Modular, Composable, and Configurable Environment

In this talk, an object-oriented modeling approach is applied to a real-world engineering problem. The concepts of component object, ports, composition and configurability will be introduced. Port-based modeling is directly applied to represent the dynamics of teh PeopleMovers. Modeling details developed will be explained. A demonstration will be given using CoInSiDe (COmposition IN SImulation and DEsign) to validate the adequacy of the models developed.
