Keywords: Gesture-Based Control, Intuitive Interface, Robotic Manipulators Abstract: Gestures provide an intuitive interface to both program and interact with robots. The field of gesture based robot control involve recognition, interpretation, execution, and feedback. Prior to Summer 1999, I worked on a gesture based mobile robot control project focusing primarily on justifying the framework using limited number of gestures and a single mobile robot. During this talk, I am going to talk about the above project, and show how the work has been extended into the dual-arm manipulator robot I worked on during my leave of absense in Univ of Tokyo. |
