Like I said above, this is a fair question for the tinkerers, not the
users. Most people want to *drive* a car; some spend time trying to
*improve* the technology of the machine. I enjoy *using* Esperanto in
real-world applications, where it seems to work just fine and dandy! If
other folks want to "improve" Esperanto or English or internet protocols,
I have no objection to that: it is a completely different intention.
I confess that I agree with the Resolution of 1905 (?) which accepted
Esperanto as a stable language, rather than a perpetually changing project.
It is much more *useful* as a standard communication protocol than as a
step toward some unattainable "perfection".

Because Esperanto works quite well, and I do not agree with the abstract
and often silly assertions of the "superiority" of other IALs. This point
was already well-debated (and resolved!) during the Ido schism. Only the
players have changed, not the arguments nor results.
