  Yes, that might happen if it became a genuine language used in everyday 
life by people in the street.  But that's not likely.  People in the 
street will use the national language or cant that they have in common.
  Esperanto is, and will remain, a genuine language used between people 
who have no other language in common.  Since its purpose is communication 
among people from different linguistic backgrounds, its speakers are 
working at keeping it from breaking into dialects.  If they didn't do so, 
then it =would= break into eventually incomprehensible dialects, and 
could not be used.
  This dialectualization happens when there are a number of communities
speaking the language.  But Esperanto has only one community, consisting
of all Esperantists world-wide.  If an Esperantist has trouble
communicating with the main body of the others, it's because his language
skills need some improvement, so he improves them, and thereby joins that 
main body.
