I would like to gain a working knowledge of how HMM
based (software only) Speech Recognition systems work.

Does anyone know an ftp site or other location where I can
get some C/C++ source code for a "simple" Windows 3.11
based system. I do not need a large vocabulary nor a lot
of sophistication as I want only to understand, through
working with the code, how an HMM Speech Recog system
works. I have a 486/66 with 8MB RAM and 730MB hard disk.

My ultimate goal is to develop a continuous speech dictation
Windows application for the medical field.

I have read numerous SR articles and papers, and a couple
of text books on the subject, so I am fairly up to speed
on the jargon.

I will follow up on all leads.

Thank you.
