I'm looking for a used Oki ADPCM development system, to encode speech
phrases for the Oki MSM63(P)74 and related chips. Preferably the system
would allow me to program the One Time Programmable version of the chip.
I think the AR76-202 is what I need, but the ASE-88 might also be of use.

Also, does anyone know if the 4-bit ADPCM routines in SoundHack (for the
Mac) are compatible with the Oki chips? Are all ADPCMs the same, or can
they be incompatible due to selection of different step sizes, etc.

Finally, I'd be interested if anyone knows of another line of ADPCM chips
that might be cheaper or otherwise superior to the OKI chips.
