Greetings, once again.

A little over a week ago I posted a request in comp.ai
requesting recommendations for graduate programs in
theoretical AI research. I was (and still am) looking for
programs which do not cater to any specific paradigm, but
instead deal with the subject from an angle more akin to,
say, theoretical physics. A program which involves aspects of
cognitive philosophy, computational theory, and maybe some
cognitive psychology, along with access to computer systems
for theory verification and research would be really nice,
since I'm an "older student" finishing up my BA in cog.
philo. and have 10+ years experience as a systems programmer.
I also specified that the school of my dreams would be
located on the East coast. I'm willing to relax that
criteria, however, and just say anything East of the
Mississippi (I don't have anything against the West coast, my
wife and I just want a change of pace.).

So far I've received four responses. To those that have
replied so far, many thanks. I would, however, like to get a
few more responses before I post the summary I promised. So,
I'm cross-posting this to some additional newsgroups to see
what I can turn up.

The responses so far have come from:

     University of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, PA
Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta, GA
     Iowa State University Ames, IA
     University of Georgia Athens, GA

Hopefully I can collect a few more responses to make for a
nice healthy summary. If you would like to have your program
included in the summary, please reply directly to me via e-
mail. In the interests of continued net.bandwidth.harmony,
please do a direct reply. I would like to have the summary
ready to roll out of the hanger in about a week or so.

Thank you in advance.
John M. Hughes
