  Yes, Erich Fromm is a psychoanalyst.  Whether or not he has borrowed
any of his ideas without documenting them, I have no idea.  Fromm is
usually very good about documenting his sources.  However, it is the
idea that is important.  Discrediting the person in no way discredits
the idea unless you want to commit a logical fallacy....
