My definition:

"Intelligence" is, beside the meaning "espionage", a tool nature/evolution
gave to a beeing/animal/human (what you prefer) to survive sucessfully in
it's environment. In the case "human" there is some overhead that we usually
use to sort of thinking. We use it not to adapt ourselves to our
environment (like other animals) but to adapt our environment to us (That
makes us so dangerous). And that's, what some of us say, the difference
to animals (look at current discussions in this group).

Regards, Claus.

p.s.:
I am working on that subject and I would appreciate if you could send me
a summary of the definitions you get.
