The talk by Rodney Brooks at IJCNN91 was interesting.  Perhaps the definition
of intelligence is changing: the dynamics (real-time) are important.  (Brooks
argued that traditional AI alla Shakey etc. is not the way to go, that the
dynamics are crucial)

My point is that the Chinese Room Problem reflects a dated approach and the
limitations of dated computer systems.
