I just have downloaded the sgi5.tar distribution of the
ST/X demo version from the ftp.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de site.
I have successfully installed it on a SGI Indigo2 system running
IRIX 5.3, but when I installed in on a SGI 4D/440VGX machine which
is also running IRIX 5.3, I get the following message:

smalltalk: Program not supported by architecture

Does anyone know if this due to the difference in processors
- the indigo2 having MIPS R4400 CPU and the 4D440 machine
having MIPS R2000A/R3000 CPU?

If that is the difference, is anyone aware of a version of ST/X which
supports the MIPS R2000A/R3000 CPU, and where can I get it?

Thanks,

-John
