In the course of building internal support for a Smalltalk Developer's
Guide, some of the naysayers are firm about wanting to know the overall
market size of Smalltalk (combined is fine) and why no one has done a book
which has a copyright after the [very] early 90s to warrant the resources
to do such a book. They're looking for a "spike" in the developer
community which would suddenly cause tons 'o people to be flocking to the
market, etc.

Anyways, we're gathering numbers but looking for suggestions about how to
approach this as well as any specific info you'd like to see addressed in
such a book.

tia.
