I am a MSc Computer Science student, and am planning to construct a small two wheeled robot
which will be controlled by a 486 P.C. running the Linux operating system. I plan to control
stepper motors through the serial port, and receive the sensor input back through the parallel printer
port.

I would greatly appreciate any advice, particularly from anyone who has done any interfacing under Linux about how to do this.
I'm not sure how different it would be from Dos, but haven't had experience of interfacing a P.C. before
so any general advice would also be wecome. I have looked for a FAQ on the subject, but no joy as yet.

Thanks

Rick
