Hello hardware hackers - I have some candy for you:
This pcb will alow you to use large LCD displays with
an 8 bit cpu. The PCB is setup to use motorola cpu
bus inputs

I have posted a one layer, 8 bit cpu to graphic LCD PCB
on my ftp site:
ftp.cnde.iastate.edu
in the directory:
incoming
The files are called:
HITACHI.PS, HITACHIM.PS
where the 'M' stands for mirror image.

Two of the ICs are SMT. 3 ICs are 74HC194 -
one is used as a divide by 4 - the others are
used as 4 bit shift registers. The MAX IC is
used for positive LCD contrast control.

I will not post the schematic. The postscript file
shows where the ICs go. The 'HD' QFP-60 part is made
by hitachi and the SMT static ram is 32Kx8.

All comments and criticisms are welcome.

good luck,
JR
