The Philips BBS in California is mirrored on both ftp.pppl.gov and
nic.funet.fi.  Since they *invented* I2C, the example source code you'll
find there is a very good starting point.  One of the Philips I2C component
databooks is also a handy reference text.  Last time I looked, there was
info in their microcontroller databook and in BOTH of the I2C databooks.
