On a UK programme (Tomorrow's World - an ironic name considering it is
usually 6 months behind other general science publications/programmes) last
week, I saw a piece on chip sized machines and motors. Is anyone actually
using these to build small robots? I am interested in seeing how far out of
the laboratory these things have got

Sorry that I can't be more detailed about who/what/where these things are
being developed, but Tomorrow's World is usually quite scant on details.
