Besides being very ugly, FORTRAN only lives in the world of numerical analysis.
People who do computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, and a few
others use it.

Wheter or not you use our tapes, learning C will be very important to your
career.  When stuff like digital drives and vector control gets dominant, it
will be done in C.
