-> GREG,
-> DO YOU KNOW HOW TO LOG-ON TO ANOTHER SITE? I HAVE NEED TO HOOK UP TO
-> MIT FOR A FILE(S) AND IT ASKS ME FOR A LOGIN

If I understand the question, you have telnet access through the university or
something and have already made it to the site, you are simply trying to get
in.  Is that right?

If so, the first thing to try is your own name. Some of them work like that.
Other logins to try are your home address, whatever the university has given
you. This would be something like dtruettner@some_computer.uw.edu. One of the
most popular entries is GUEST. If none of those work, try logging is as HELP,
NEWUSER, VISITOR, or anything else you can think of. If you get to the point
of typing FUCK_YOU at the login prompt, it's time to give up and go have a
beer.

I hope you decide to try out our C video tapes. I want to know if they are any
good before I start them.
