I've been listening long enough to be interested in the boards mentioned here
but not long enough to get general info. I would appreciate pointers to FAQ's
or descriptive documents. I am on robot-board and I heard that there have been
group buys? Are these
all done? Am I too late to get in on these. I'm a poor software slob and am
unlikely to be able to get a board fab'd, find all parts and build with out
more learning curve than I can afford unless I can get some help or shortcuts.
Any suggestions? I have previous 68hc11 programming experience but the last
time I built something was a crystal set about 30 years ago. Is the miniboard
right for me or should I look at some 8051 type of solution that I can buy cheap.
My machine shop skills are ahead of electrical but not by much.

My plan is to hook something up to a host Logo driven system mostly to play
and teach myself and my son various unexpected things. I would like to play
with goal direction type of stuff on the host driving something semi-autonomous
on the floor; at least semi-autonomous enough to be a turtle. After that who
knows? I really want to spend more time on software than hardware but don't
want to spend too much money just to play. I realize that this is a conflict but
what the heck.

Point me in useful directions and maybe I too will someday post tough and informative
questions/answers here.

Thanks and regards.
