We are looking into alternative sources for our servo control needs.
What we are interested in is:

    - servo motor controller
    - preferable an integrated unit; controller, amp, power supply
    - digital I/O capability; 8 in, 8 out
    - non-blocking operation, ie outputs can be twittled based upon
a moving position as opposed to waiting for the move to complete
    - RS-232 interface
    - brush and brushless versions
    - quadrature encoder interface

Other wish list items would be:

    - stepper version with similar is not identical serial interface

Alternatively, if a single integrated unit is not suitable, we would
entertain the idea of an ISA type board that interface to an
amplifier, power supply, I/O box.

We are presently employing NEAT 410 controllers (ACS SB-191 controller)
and find it especially capable. But, service is an issue which makes it
undesirable.

Any feedback based on personnal usage and market knowledge will be
most welcome.

Thanks...
