Since some of you will have booked your tickets to Glasgow before finding
out that the Robot Games have been postponed, I guess that there will be
several extra roboticists in Glasgow next week with time on their hands.
Since Glasgow is not everyone's idea of a good holiday location, why don't
some of you come and visit the Edinburgh Dept of AI robotics group?
We do behaviour-based robotics for both arms and mobiles, and are currently
doing some work on trying real biological control methods for our mobiles.
We also teach a Lego vehicle course called Intelligent Sensing and Control.
We could show videos and give demonstrations of some of our stuff,
especially if we have advance warning. You could demonstrate your
wonderful robots to us, and explain what they do and how they work.
In short, you could still have some robotics fun. Edinburgh is only 45min
by train from Glasgow.

Contact me in advance, and I'll try to organise interesting things.
Else phone just beforehand and take pot luck.
