      An ad in "Computer Applications Journal" #37 offers a
RF transmitter and receiver set for sending 12-bit parallel data
over 300MHz, for only $34.95.  I don't know if it is any good,
but it is cheap.  If you order one, please report to the net how
it works out.  This could be a useful little building block.

     I think these are built around the chips used for the newer
digital R/C gear.
